Security Training

The International Protective Service Academy is a New York State approved Security Training School, located at our NYC office complex.

IPSA provides training services to many clients ranging from large companies to individuals seeking to improve or gain new skills. We offer a full range of courses and programs in many areas.

IPSA's faculty includes some of the most experienced and dynamic instructors in their respective fields. We maintain a staff of full and part-time personnel chosen for both their knowledge and teaching skill. Their certifications include Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Security Trainer (CST), Personal Protection Specialist (PPS), NYS licensed Security Guard Instructors & Private Investigators, NRA Police and Security Firearms Instructors, and many more.

We will work with you to ensure that our courses meet your basic needs, or we can customize, adapt, or design original programs and tailor them to your specific needs. We are flexible and will do our best to assist you with your training requirements.

ISPA’s commitment to training is reflected in the effective job performance of ISPA’s security personnel. Security personnel at ISPA receive intensive, all around training sessions that will equip them to handle any security needs with expertise.

Chief Instructor

Mr. Heying has over 25 years of Security experience and is a Certified Protection Professional, Personal Protection Specialist, Certified Protection Officer, NRA Security Firearms Instructor, Glock Instructor and Armorer, and NYS Firearms / General Topics Instructor. Mr. Heying has extensive worldwide training and experience in Executive Protection and Firearms Instruction and training from Heckler and Koch, S&W Academy, International Chiefs of Police, National Rifle Association, Executive Protection Institute, Street Survival Seminars, and many others.
